silver-lined shakudo koro
A spectacular silver-lined shakudo koro with gold-wired cloisonné handles, its finial a seated silver tiger with shakudo stripes. Upon the koro’s body, two gold, raging dragons modeled in extra high relief, slither in and out of stormy waters. This dramatic koro sits upon a boxwood stand powerfully carved as a seated oni, his eyes, teeth and horns of mother-of-pearl. Gold signature plaque on base of koro: Harumin. Mother-of-pearl signature plaque on base of oni: Seizui. Meji Period.
