A regal silver and multi-metal bottle vase, its silver neck adorned with gold-wired chidori-in-flight. On the globular, shibuichi body of the vase, a cockerel and hen nestle among golden boughs of a weeping willow. Gorgeous high-relief work in shakudo, colored enamels, gold and silver define the imagery against the body’s lustrous sheen. On the reverse of this splendid jewel of a vase, a stag and deer, in gold and silver, contemplate their surroundings. Signature, Murata Moritoshi. Height,9";width,3.9". Owner’s box.
