An exquisite, full-bodied silver, shakudo and shibuichi baluster vase incised and passionately-sculpt with a spontaneous arrangement of seasonal flowers. Kiku, sakura, lilies and radiant foliage sprawl upon its ground, the alloys brilliant upon the mirror-like surface. Shungoku signature with kao incised on body; gold seal and Jungin mark. Height, 14"; width, 9.5". Meiji Period.
