A Japanese Silver-Iron Bottle Vase - Kosei Signature Plaque - Meiji Period
An elegant silver-lined iron bottle vase, its graceful neck banded by gilt, Komai-like lappets and geometric bands. Its rounded body is modelled in relief, with brilliant silver, gold, shakudo and red-enameled Manchurian cranes – some in-flight, others gathered together among reeds and stylized waters. Gold signature plaque, Kosei. Height, 8.75". Meiji Period.
