A large patinated bronze figural study

Late Meiji Period, Sealed Okazaki Sessei (1858-1921)
Well cast as a bathing nude, the Japanese maiden drying herself with a cloth held to her breast while standing on a rocky bank in a contraposto pose, the reverse with artist’s cartouche Sessei and initials NI (minor tape residue to reverse), with accompanying tomobako inscribed Rafu (Nude Woman) followed by the name of the artist.
